Visa Bulletin – December

The Department of State posted the visa bulletin for December today.

USCIS advised that it will accept family and employment-based adjustment of status petitions for December based upon the filing date. See https://www.uscis.gov/visabulletininfo for the updated information.

Immigrant Visa Availability in the Coming Months

In the December Bulletin, the State Department notes that employment-based adjustment of status filings have steadily increased in recent weeks, warning that if this demand continues, Final Action Dates may be established as early as January 2020 for EB-2 and EB-3 categories that were previously current. In addition, if this demand continues, EB-1 will remain retrogressed in January. The State Department has previously stated it does not expect EB-1 Worldwide to become current before April 2020.
