DHS Implements "Operation Predator"

AILA has been made aware of a Department of Homeland Security memorandum which outlines a "national initiative" to protect children from "sexual predators."  The memo states that in cases where the alien has been convicted of a criminal offense against children, the file should be "flagged" with a cover sheet and the trial attorney should oppose bond.  

AILA is currently attempting to obtain a copy of the memo.
